Albacete Airport- ABC
Albacete Airport is a public and military airport located in Albacete, Spain. Operated by Aena, it serves the major towns and regions located in Castile- La Mancha, Spain. The airport was originally intended to become a military airport and began its construction back in 1913. ABC Airport started hosting civilian flights in July 2003 after more than seven decades of exclusively being used by the military. At present, ABC Airport is one of the two public airports in the region.
Best Time to Visit
The Albacete Airport resumed its service to civilian traffic in 2003 after seizing operations in the region. By 2015, the Ministry of Public Works opened a new terminal building at the airport with a size of 2,200 square meters. Military equipment was also improved and overhauled in the region. Such additions included the Eurofighter Typhoon, Canadair CL-215 and the CASA C-101. At present, charter services from Privilege Style are the only type of services from the airport. Aledo is a nearby municipality where several places of worship, shrines and tourist attractions can be visited and enjoyed.
