Aniwa Airport – AWD
The public airfield of Aniwa Airport can be found on the northern side of Aniwa Island, Vanuatu. It is under the rule of the province of Taféa and serves the whole of the island of Aniwa. The airport is assigned the ICAO code of NVVB and the IATA code of AWD.

Aniwa Airport stands at an elevation of 21 meters above the mean sea level. It only has a single runway, which is over 3,000 feet in length. The only airline serving Aniwa Airport is the Air Vanuatu. This airline offers scheduled flights to Tanna, Dillon's Bay, Ipota, and Futuna, which only flies on Tuesdays and Saturdays. To get to the airfield from anywhere in Aniwa, guests can ask the locals to arrange schedules for the only truck that provides transfers to and from Aniwa Airport. The flights from the airport include a stop at Tanna Island. While on this paradise island, make sure to check out the coastal town of Lenakel, which is among the top tourist destinations in Vanuatu.

The only accommodation available on the island of Aniwa is just a six-minute drive south from the airport. The Aniwa Ocean View Bungalow is owned and managed by the villagers in the area, who also offer village tours, snorkeling, and paddling activities for the guests. You can also stay at Friendly Beach Hotel located on the nearby Tanna Island. Two of the other airports serving Vanuatu are the Tanna Airport and Ipota Airport.
