Istanbul Airport is a public Airport with an airport code of IST located in Arnavutkoy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The airport is owned by General Directorate State Airports and operated by Istanbul Grand Airport. Istanbul Airport was constructed to replace Istanbul Ataturk Airport to cater the growing passengers visiting the country. The construction of the airport will also address the worsening air traffic congestion, allowing additional cargo shipments and increase the number of parking slots.

Istanbul Airport has four asphalt runways in operations and five concourses with 143 passengers boarding bridges in total. Concourse G for domestic flights, Concourses A, B, D and F are for international flights and Concourses C and E are directly connected to the main terminals. The airport is equipped with a total 3,500 security personnel including immigration officers and police officers and is protected with 9,000 CCTV cameras. 68 airline companies to over 200 domestic and international destinations are servicing Istanbul Airport.
