Penang International Airport – PEN Penang
Located 10 miles south of George Town, is Malaysia’s third busiest airport, Penang International Airport. Opened in 1935, it is the oldest airport in Malaysia and was known before as Bayan Lepas International Airport. Penang International Airport is the hub for AirAsia, FireFly and Malaysia Airlines. A number of international airlines like the Thai Airways, DragonAir and SilkAir operate from this airport.

Penang International Airport is a medium-sized airport that can hold up to 6.5 million passengers annually. It has two runways and a single modern passenger terminal building that has two floors. The airport has a few restaurants and bistros that is accessible by the public. For incoming and outgoing passengers, there is a duty-free shop along the departure concourse. Aside from twenty flights served everyday between Kuala Lumpur and Penang, the airport also has links to Bangkok, Xiamen China, Singapore and more. PEN Penang is the airport of choice for passengers from the cities that surround the airport including Kampung Aman and Air Kuning.
