Toyonaka: The City With Shrines
Toyonaka City is a residential area in the Osaka Prefecture of Japan, it also includes the New Senri Town. It was founded in 1936 and continued to flourish through industrialization and modernization. The city has a lot of cultural aspects that contributed to its current state. The Osaka International Airport is partially located within the Toyonaka vicinity including its terminal. However, it is more associated with Itami City.
Best Time to Visit
The most comfortable time of the year to visit Toyonaka is during April to June. September to November, however, is also a great time to visit for the wonderful season. The popular Lion Festival is celebrated every October, as well.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Toyonaka has several sites to see like the Harada Shinto Shrine, which was built during the reign of Empire Tenmu (672-686). It is an important and famous cultural property surrounded by camphor trees and is the site of the Lion Festival. Another shinto shrine is the Abeno Seimei Shrine, which is dedicated to Abeno Seimei, who is the most popular and powerful onmyo-ji in Japan. For a peaceful afternoon, tourists can try visiting the Akutagawa Park with colorful elements and trees. There are also nearby hotels to stay in while in Toyonaka. The Fine Garden Toyonaka Osaka International Airport (Adult Only) is a 2-minute drive from the airport that has excellent facilities. Also, the GR Hotel Esaka has a convenient location that gives easy access to nearby shrines and other sites that offers exemplary services and facilities.
