Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport – JVL
Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport is a public airport that is located in the Town of Rock, Wisconsin. It serves Janesville as well as the rest of Rock County. It also owned and operated by the local government of Rock County. Working under the IATA code JVL and the ICAO code KJVL, it sits at an elevation of 808 feet above mean sea level. There are three runways. Runway 1 has a concrete surface and is 7,302 meters long. Runways 2 and 3 have asphalt surfaces and measure 6,701 feet and 5,004 feet respectively. In 2018, the airport handled a total of 34,877 aircraft operations.

The land that the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport now stands on was originally created to be as a glider pilot training facility for the US Air Forces. By the 1970s, the airport has scheduled passenger airline flights. It stopped in 2012 and as of 2019, the airport is only mainly used for chartered flights, private flights, and for cargo use.
