Yenişehir Airport- YEI
Yenişehir Airport, which is also known as Bursa Yenişehir Airport, is a public/military airport found a few kilometers from the city of Bursa, Turkey. The airfield is under the rule of the province of Bursa and primarily serves Yenişehir. Yenişehir Airport was assigned the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) location identifier of LTBR and International Air Transport Association (IATA) location identifier of YEI.
Best Time to Visit
The aerodrome, which resides at an elevation of 233 meters above the mean sea level, was opened in November 2000. It features two runways made of concrete, one designated as 07R/25L and the other being 07L/25R. Both of the tracks are 2,993 meters in length. AnadaluJet is currently the only airline serving Yenişehir Airport. It provides scheduled flights to Ankara Esenboğa Airport, Diyarbakır Airport, Erzurum Airport, Muş "Sultan Alparslan" Airport, and Trabzon Airport. The airline also connects Yenişehir Airport to Antalya Airport, depending on the season. From the airfield, you can tour around the sights at the nearby towns of Kestel, Iznik, and Cumalikizik.
What to Do & Area Attractions
There are no hotels nearby the airport but you can drive north, and find the Inegol Royal Hotel, the Kaya Uludag-All Inclusive and the Gemlik Pasa Hotel, which are around 20 miles away. These accommodations are only about half an hour's drive away and offer a majestic view of Lake Iznik.
You can also come into Bursa through the Bursa Airport, whose IATA code is BTZ, or the nearby Bandirma Airport, which goes by the IATA location identifier of BDM. The latter option is about an hour's drive from Yenişehir Airport.
