Coquitlam Centre
Constructed in the late 1970s, the Coquitlam Centre in Coquitlam, Canada is a premier shopping mall owned by Pensionfund Realty Limited. It sits at the southern section of the area, close to the Coquitlam Central Station. With around 200 services and stores, the Coquitlam Centre is the biggest mall in the Tri-Cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. Three of the initial anchor tenants of the center included the Eaton’s, Woodward’s, and Hudson’s Bay. Although it only has two stories, the Coquitlam Centre boasts roughly 21 acres of retail floor space.
If you’re into science, make sure to include the H. R. MacMillan Space Centre in your itinerary. The space center is located in Vancouver, a 45-minute drive away from Coquitlam Centre. Established in 1968, H. R. MacMillan Space Centre features live science demos, astronomy shows, and some exhibits and games. Meanwhile, if you are in the area in the summer, Kitsilano Beach is among the best places to visit. The beach is also within Vancouver and is easily one of the favorite beach destinations during the dry season.
